Welcome Back, We Missed You

Getting Your Textbooks

Starting September 10, all textbooks must be purchased online, where you can have your order shipped to you or you can pick it up in store. If picking up in store, you must wait for an email indicating your order is ready for pick up. Bookings are no longer required to pick up your order.

We will do our best to have all in store pick ups ready 24 hours after ordering. Shipping will take 5-10 business days for your order to be delivered during peak periods.

We will continue to ship all course materials to students. Free shipping within Canada and standard shipping charges internationally.

When coming to the store to pick up your order, please ensure you have you order confirmation and a valid piece of government ID.

All orders will be available for pick up at the Info Desk on the main floor of the Bookstore.

New Store Procedures

We are excited to welcome the U of G community back to our stores as we are now open! Please take note of our new store policies as we do our best to protect our customers, staff, and community. Please see below a list of changes of how the Bookstore aims to offer a safe shopping environment.

  • Change rooms are not available
  • All textbook orders are pick-up and shipping only and must be ordered in advance

Gryph’s Locker can allow up to a maximum of 9 customers in store at one time.

Course Materials – Fall 2020 Semester

Our store will be open this fall for students to pick-up textbook orders. However, our textbook floor will be closed for the semester. During September, students must purchase their textbooks online and book an appointment to pick up their order. We will provide further details soon.

We will continue to ship all course materials to students. Free shipping within Canada and standard shipping charges internationally. Please allow 5-10 business days for shipping.

Online Orders

In-store pickups are now available again. Please bear with us as order processing and delivery times may be delayed from the end of August through September.

We will be prioritizing textbook orders to allow students to keep up with their learning.

As mentioned above, all textbook orders will ship for free within Canada. All clothing, gifts, and school supplies orders receive free shipping within Canada when you spend $75 or more.

Returns/Exchanges

Any purchases during September will be eligible for returns until October 16. Aside from timing, our standard return policy still applies. All textbooks purchased after September are non-returnable unless the student has dropped the course and has a drop slip.

Items can be returned or exchanged in-store or shipped back to us. If you had an order shipped to you and are looking to return or exchange an item, please send it back to us in its original condition, include the packing slip, and a note indicating whether you would like a return or exchange. Clothing must have the tags on, and textbooks must be in the same condition and packaging as they were delivered. Customers will be responsible for any return shipping.

Meal Plans

We are now taking student card payments. You must have one of the following meal plans: Textbook, Carryover, Flex, Staff/Faculty, and Gift Cards.

We do not accept the Ultra Plan.

We are unable to take student card payment for all ebook and digital access codes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

To learn more about meals plans visit Hospitality Services.

Gown Rentals

Gown rentals are suspended until further notice. There is no timeline for this service to continue at this time.
