Cultural Anthropology

Using a human ecology approach, this work presents a current view of a world in which cultural boundaries are being redefined, local societies are being globalized and indigenous peoples are struggling for survival. The use of ethnographic case studies integrated into the text illustrates the holistic nature of culture and highlights the importance of human decision-making in cultural adaptation and change.
